About your photographer

Though it took me some time, I’ve finally found my true love — photography.
The journey seems like a whirlwind ride, as I took classes in high school and college, eventually graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism with an emphasis in print and photojournalism. The next few years became a blur as I got married and started several full- and part-time jobs. But more importantly that is when I truly became a photographer.
Somehow and some way, nearly every day of my life, aspects of photography and photographic opportunities were placed in my path. Unfortunately, with the everyday hustle and bustle, obligations and chores, I pushed them away; never fully understanding photography was what I was really meant to do — until now.
Over the last several years, I have been blessed to become an award-winning photographer, but more importantly through all my experiences, I have found it’s best to find joy in the simple things and capture these moments to the fullest. I love photographing the miracle of a child still in its mother’s womb. It amazes me to watch a tiny infant yawn and stretch. My favorite part about photographing children is finding the one thing that makes them smile. It’s touching to see a nervous groom or the smile on a bride’s face when she sees her husband for the first time in her gown.
All of these interactions hold special meaning to you – and to me. This isn’t just my job. It has become so much more. Every day brings something new and fresh. Each day is as exciting as it is challenging. But more than anything, it’s rewarding.
I can’t wait to “capture the real you.” It’s an endeavor I look forward to.
