Stylized Shoot at Waldenwoods Resort | Hartland, Michigan Wedding Photographer

When Crystal of Floral Sense put out a call for vendors interested in doing a stylized session I jumped at the chance! I’ve been itching to get back to wedding season and what is a better way to scratch that itch than by doing a session with a beautiful bride, gorgeous flowers and all the trimmings?!

Our idea for a stylized shoot was for our model, Amanda, to channel the feeling of spring, with natural colors and sentiment. The color palette was light green, lavender & gold with elegance mixed with nature.

Crystal brought that to life with her arrangements featuring bouquets with garden roses, branches, moss, lotus pods, sweet pea and lavender flowers.

The dress was a perfect fit from The White Dress in Brighton and makeup was provided by Rebecca Pierce who flawlessly perfected soft glam with tones to create an enchanted, natural look.

Brittany for Simply Bridal | Holly, Michigan Wedding/Model Photographer

When Catherine from Simply Bridal reached out to me saying she wanted to provide me with a wedding dress for a stylized shoot, of course I was game! It was an awesome opportunity to get creative and have fun with a beautiful wardrobe, model and setting!

Brittany is a model that has grown right along with me. We began shooting together when I first started my business almost 7 years ago. So of course I was excited to ask her if she was interested! And she was!

Never in my wildest dreams did I expect to have so much support with this shoot – not only did Simply Bridal send me this gorgeous wedding gown and Brittany said she’d model it for me, but Fenton Flowers agreed to provide a stunning bouquet, while Joanna with Faery Floral Connections created/provided all of the head pieces and a beautiful, red robe. Paul and Mary Lyn with Imaginique Studios came out as well to help and serve as my helpers 🙂

It really has been an awesome trip and a great way to showcase the beauty of talent all around us!

Brittany certainly was a trooper – it was less than 10 degrees the day of our shoot – and the snow was easily over my knees! (I’m 5’9!) But you couldn’t tell she was cold! (And I know she was! My hands were frozen and I was completely bundled up!) It was a great effort that yielded some pretty awesome results (if I do say so myself) from everyone all around.

What fun it was to let my creative side loose and bring a vision to life!

Christina | Holly, Michigan Photographer

Christina was recently in studio to take some photos before her big debut at a fitness competition. She looks awesome and was so much fun to photograph!

This was the first time I ever took any fitness photos, so I have to admit, I was a tad nervous; but Christina made my job super easy.
