Before Your Wedding Day – Reserve the Date
Planning a wedding often starts long before your actual wedding day – sometimes up to a year or more in advance. In terms of photography, many photographers — Jennifer included — reserve dates long ahead of an actual event, due to the popularity of many days, especially during the months of summer.
To reserve the special talents of Jennifer with McDonald Photography, a $1,000 deposit is required to hold your wedding date. This money will go toward the total of your wedding package, which is required two weeks before your wedding.
Choosing Your Package
Jennifer has a variety of packages and add-on items, which makes it easy to choose only what you really want. From high resolution images on disc, to gallery wrap art portraits, calendars as well as wedding albums small and large, you can be sure all you desire is covered.
Before any sessions take place, you’ll receive a packet of information in the mail for you to both look over and sign. These forms must be completed prior to any sessions with Jennifer and can be mailed back to her or dropped off the first day you meet. Each packet contains a variety of information, including a contract that details your agreement; a modeling release, which will allow Jennifer to photograph and retain all copyrights of the resulting images; as well as a checklist that will inform Jennifer of your most desired wedding photographs.
Engagement or Bridal Sessions
One of the reasons Jennifer likes a future bride and groom to participate in an engagement session is so they can get to know one another and become friends.
During an engagement session, Jennifer will learn how each couple relates to one another and what photographic styles they like best, which helps them better work together as a team to achieve the best possible photographs.
She also offers the option of bridal sessions before your wedding day or a unique “Trash the Dress” session after your wedding day. Bridal sessions include photographs of the bride wearing her dress in a unique setting prior to the wedding day. “Trash the Dress” sessions are photographs taken after a couple’s wedding, where a bride (and sometimes groom) get a little dirty! Sessions can be spent in a variety of settings including a lake, in the mud, or even in the snow – any setting where the bride can trash her wedding dress while creating beautiful art.
On Your Wedding Day
When your wedding day has finally arrived, Jennifer understands it’s very special. She hopes to create not only unique images, but images that will captivate and inspire. Jennifer uses both photojournalistic and classic styles, so you have the best of both worlds to capture your wedding day as a story.
Depending on the size of the event, she often employs a two-photographer approach, which is sure to capture any events that may be happening at the same time.
Jennifer also makes it a priority to keep track of the time, but makes sure your day is relaxed, unhurried and fun. Since all packages include an unlimited time amount and unlimited locations, you will be sure to get everything you may want out of your wedding photographs.
After Your Wedding Day
While you’re off on your honeymoon, Jennifer is hard at work, processing your images. Two to four weeks after your wedding, these images will be placed on your own personal Web gallery so you can view them at your convenience and share them with family and friends. This way you can either view and choose your original wedding images online in the comfort of your home, or visit Jennifer’s studio to select your images with confidence.
While online images are cropped and color corrected, the images you choose will be further enhanced and retouched. Each image will get special attention to make it the very best it can be. Your album will then be designed with your wishes in mind, before sent to a professional printer and bookbinder to create an heirloom that will be cherished forever. Depending on the type of products and album(s) you order, items may take between 12 and 14 weeks before they’re ready for pick-up.
